SUMMARY of the SERVICES we provide

Islington House Medical Centre provides all of the Primary Care health-care services that you would expect to find in a comprehensive and modern General Practice. We embrace close co-operation with Secondary Care and Community services to ensure the best holistic care for our patients.

Our services are accessed mainly in the form of consultations with one of the practice clinicians (see a list of the practice clinicians here, and see a list of the main services that we provide by following the  link on the menu on the left of this page).

Clinical Consultations

You may make an appointment for a consultation at the practice with a GP or Practice Nurse or Midwife. Alternatively you can make an appointment for a consultation by telephone, if that is more appropriate and convenient. To book an appointment, please use the contact details given here.

The practice premises facilitate Disabled access.

Urgent (Emergency) consultations may be requested at short notice, but please be aware that since all consultations are by appointment, you should expect to have to wait until a clinician becomes available to see you.

Home visits

If you are house-bound or too ill to attend the surgery and require a home visit please telephone the surgery before 10.00 am.

Out-of-Hours

If you wish to obtain medical advice outside of the practice opening hours, you can do so by simply phoning the normal practice number, and you will be transferred to the out-of-hours service.

Use of interpreters

Where a consultation at the practice cannot be undertaken satisfactorily due to language communication problems, the practice can request the services of an interpreter to allow a consultation to proceed.
