Islington House Medical Centre provides all of the Primary Care health-care services that you would expect to find in a comprehensive and modern General Practice. We embrace close co-operation with Secondary Care and Community services to ensure the best holistic care for our patients.

Clinical Consultations

You may make an appointment for a consultation at the practice with a GP, ANP or Practice Nurse by pre-booking an appointment in advance or ringing up at 8 o'clock in the morning to get an appointment on the day. Alternatively you can make an appointment for a Telephone consultation, where the GP rings you if that is more appropriate and convenient.
To book an appointment, either call the practice, pop in or use one of the online services detailed on the website.

The practice premises facilitate Disabled access.

Urgent (Emergency) consultations may be requested at short notice. If you require an urgent appointment, please call the practice. You may be advised about other services which could assist your medical complaint.
Extended Hours
On Mondays and Wednesdays we have extended hours. We are open late till 8 pm on Mondays and open early on Wednesdays at 7 am. For more information please contact the surgery.

Home visits

If you are house-bound or too ill to attend the surgery and require a home visit please telephone the surgery before 10.00 am.

If you wish to obtain medical advice outside of the practice opening hours, you can do so by simply phoning the normal practice number, and you will be transferred to the out-of-hours service.

Use of interpreters

Where a consultation at the practice cannot be undertaken satisfactorily due to language communication problems, the practice can request the services of an interpreter to allow a consultation to proceed.
